Hitting Programs

High School:

Don’t wait until the first week of High School tryouts to knock the rust off of your swing.  Be the hitter that shows up in mid-season form with the help of our 15-week hitting clinic.

Teels baseball believes in proper instruction and repetition as the building blocks of progress.  Our high school hitting clinic is no exception.  Over the course of 15 weeks instructors teach all pertinent hitting concepts in detail and put them into practice working side by side with each hitter individually.  Each week a hitter should expect to take well over one hundred swings while rotating hitting stations.

Drills include:

  • Tee work:   Often the least practiced but most valuable drill. Strategies are taught to maximize time and effort spent.
  • Front Toss:   The best way to “get the ball moving” while allowing a hitter to focus on the entirety of their mechanics in a slow paced format.
  • Machines:   Fastballs, curves, and sliders are fed to hitters.  Machines are often used in HS tryouts and practices.
  • Live Batting Practice:   By seeing the ball out of a pitcher’s hand, in this case an experienced instructor’s, a hitter is able to work on their rhythm, timing and mechanics as closely to a game situation as they can get during the cold winter months.

Approach is everything and each year our high school hitters come in to get after it.  If your high school hitter wants the opportunity to put real work in with great instruction and endless swings,  sign up today.

The High School Hitting Program is for ages 13 + up and runs 15 weeks.  The schedule dates are as follows:

Middle School:

This program caters to 7-12 year olds (middle school).

Teel’s baseball and softball has the perfect hitting program to get your young hitter swings all year long.  Each hitting session once a week provides instruction, a safe efficiently run workout and of course countless swings. Coaches, in the first few minutes of the session, teach the lesson of the week building upon previously taught concepts.  Hitters then put the lesson into action with quality repetitions supervised by coaches.

  • Hitting Machines:  Coaches will feed to hitters while instructing and supervising.  Machines are often used in tryouts and team practices.  It is a valuable experience for young hitters to gain comfort with a potentially intimidating hitting tool.
  • Live Batting Practice:   by seeing the ball out of a pitcher’s hand, in this case an experienced instructor’s, a hitter is able to work on their rhythm, timing and mechanics as closely to a game situation as they can get indoors.
